I hate it when the bus driver suddenly takes a different route and I no longer know where I am.
I can’t believe I haven’t noticed this before :
And that’s one problem solved …
When it’s winter and the trees have lost their leaves … I just can’t help myself.
Whenever I walk past a tree, I whisper :’Sleep well, little tree. Sweet dreams.’
When you see me at the bus stop or in the train station, and I’m reading a book … Please, don’t assume I’d rather be talking to you.
I’m not a native English speaker, and I’m sure I make a lot of mistakes pronouncing stuff.
But if you’re in IT, you should at least know not to pronounce ‘geeks’ as ‘djeeks’,
or ‘character’ as ‘tjerekter’.
Goodness !
Ever since little Jackson has joined the family, Mietje has been living on top of the radio.
She sits there, she sleeps there, she eats there.
(The radio is 20cm x 20cm.)
But yesterday evening, I found them like this :
I think all will be well …
It is 0°C outside. The bus driver is wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts.
I don’t know how it happened, but this morning, on the first day back to work,
I arrived more than half an hour early at the train station.
Or, 3 minutes late.
It all depends on your perspective, I suppose.
Today was also the day that the railway company decided to save some money by turning off all the lights in the station. And did I mention it was cold ???
And then my connecting bus was late.
Anyway.
When I finally arrived at my work place, I was glad to be warm, and in the company of my trusted computer.
But. Hey ho ! No internet !
Now I have 90 minutes to kill until the meeting starts, and no internet. Great.
Ok. The meeting has finished. Two more hours before I can go home. Let’s get some work done !
Still no internet.
Sigh.
It’s going to be all the way up from here.
I just –have- to believe that.
